5 Day Mindful Meditation, Yoga + Wellbeing Residential Retreat
Riboudin Retreats welcomes you to this 5 day 4 night, fully catered, residential retreat at our beautiful Normandy countryside location. Join us for lunch on the Monday before your introductory session and relaxing start to the programme with the first of your guided meditations. Three full day sessions follow with the retreat ending on Friday afternoon following your lunch time meal with us.
This retreat is an immersive experience taking you on a journey from an introduction to mindfulness and meditation, through practices carefully chosen to nourish and nurture you, to a mindfulness practice you will be able to continue and develop in your every day life to help you achieve that all important balance. The daily itinerary varies to take advantage of local markets and exploration of the beautiful surrounding area with a typical day at the retreat starting with a gentle and energising yoga class to get you ready for your day. Breakfast follows, the first of your three homemade, nutritious vegetarian meals of the day featuring produce from our garden, honey from our bees and organic free range eggs from our chickens when available. We are in France, the land famously and deliciously known for its cheese so look forward to a little indulgence accompanying your meals. Your day will feature a number of guided meditations focusing on stress reduction and relaxation techniques. After lunch explore the French countryside with walks along rural paths to the sea and along the coastal cliffs where we will enjoy guided meditations in nature or some yoga and breath work. Within the home grounds there is plenty of space and time for you to take moments for yourself to rest, restore and renew. Enjoy an afternoon tea break with home-baked goods and a restorative evening yoga and relaxation session featuring Himalayan singing bowls allowing time for you to absorb the benefits of all you've done during the day. Reflect on your day with an evening outside by our lovely fire-pit surrounded by nature or on cooler or wet evenings in our living room with its large wood-burning stove.
All yoga levels and meditation practioners welcome, whether you're completely new to mindfulness based meditations and self care practices or you want to deepen your current understanding and build on existing practices, this programme offers you a space to breathe.
SAMPLE DAILY SCHEDULE
08.00 Get up and Glow yoga
10.00 Open Discussion, What is Mindfulness? Followed by Learning to be mindful; A delightful exercise using essential oils to perform your own hand massage - an absolute favourite of ours.
11.00 Morning tea break
12.00 Movement meditation; set in our grounds, a slow meditation to bring awareness to our steps reflecting the rhythm of our breath - great for stress reduction.
13.00 Lunch break
14.00 Beautiful afternoon walk to the beach with seaside mindfulness exercise (Approx 3-6 km)
16.30 Afternoon tea with home-baked goods
17.00 Rose quartz meditation; There are so many wonderful meditations available to guide and inspire you to a more positive way of living, we would love to share this one with you, it involves working with all matters of the heart allowing pink energy from the Rose quartz to fill your entire body, allowing you to feel worth, love and compassion for yourself and all
18.00 Restorative yoga with Himalayan sound bowl relaxation.

ACCOMODATION and FOOD
Riboudin Retreats features large double sized rooms with seating area for private or shared occupancy in our traditional thatched, Normandy style home. We wanted to live a wholehearted, honest and beautiful life and have opened our home up for this immersive wellbeing retreat. Your room features tea and coffee making facilities and beautiful views, enjoy the charming beamed ceilings and cosy wood-burning stove within the home. The house is set amidst 10 and half acres of wild woodland and rural French countryside, the garden is yours to explore, restore and relax in. We look forward to welcoming you.
Your retreat is fully catered with 3 nutritious, homemade vegetarian meals a day including water, teas and coffees. We love our food hear and want you to feel nourished with meals prepared using produce from our garden, honey from our bees and eggs from our chickens when available. Meals are served in our dining room or outside on the lawn, weather permitting. If you've any dietry requirements or allergies please let us know so we can cater for you.
WHAT TO BRING
We have no dress code or restrictions we just ask that we are all respectful of each other and recommend the following:
Comfortable, loose fitting clothing suitable for meditation sittings.
Yoga leggings or comfortable loose fitting trousers suitable for movement.
Comfortable sandals or slip on shoes for walking around the retreat grounds.
A shawl or light jacket for the evenings.
Sun protection; hat, glasses, sunscreen.
